Update Domain

Updates a single domain for a given instance. Fields that can be updated in a single call are domain and branch. Unverified domains are not allowed to update the domain name.

If only the branch field exists in the payload, the update will proceed. If the domain were included, the requester will restart the domain registration process. The requester will receive an email containing the verification code that needs to be added to the domain's DNS TXT record. After doing so, the requester will need to call the Verify Domain to finish the update domain name process.

Important: The verification code have to be used before the expiration date. Failure to do so requires the requester to delete the domain and restart the process by calling the Create Domain API again. A new verification code will be sent to the requester's email. This is because once a domain undergoes the verification process, it is not updatable until it get verified.

Tip: In case the requester lost the verification and/or need to check its expiry date, the requester can call the Get Domain API and the response will contain both the current code and the expiry date along with other domain information.
