How to Disconnect Google Analytics in Zesty.io

This guide walks you through removing or disconnecting your Google Analytics (GA) integration from a Zesty.io Instance.

Method 1: Disconnecting via the Zesty.io App Interface (Recommended)

To successfully disconnect your account, you must follow the correct sequence: first clear the active property ID, and then disconnect the account from the updated view.

Step 1: Clear the Google Property ID

  1. Log into your Zesty.io account and open the target instance.
  2. Navigate to the Instance Settings menu.
  3. Select the Analytics tab or settings panel.
  4. Locate the field containing the active Google Property ID (outdated ID you wish to remove).
  5. Completely clear/delete the value in this field so it is blank.
  6. Click Save.

Step 2: Access the Content App View

  1. After saving, navigate back to the Content app view in the main sidebar.
  2. Because the Property ID has been cleared, the Zesty.io interface will automatically trigger a popup view prompting you to configure or select a new property.

Step 3: Open GA Settings & Disconnect Account

  1. On the property selection popup window, locate the GA Settings button in the upper right corner of the view.
  2. Click GA Settings.
  3. In the options that appear, click the Disconnect Account button.

Result: Your Google Analytics account link is now fully terminated, and you will no longer be continuously prompted to select a property.

Method 2: Disconnecting via the API (Alternative)

For developers, system administrators, or automated instance management, Zesty.io supports disconnecting the integration programmatically via the Instance API.

Verification & Future Reconnection

Once you have completed the steps above, your Google Analytics account link is fully terminated.

To verify the disconnection, check your main content dashboard view. You will now see a clean state displaying an option to Connect to Google Analytics. Should you or your team ever need to re-link analytics to your Zesty.io instance in the future, you can initiate the setup process directly from this prompt.
